Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA – December 1, 2014 – The Anago of Western PA November Franchise Owner’s Meeting was all about maximizing finances. This month, Franchise Owners discovered some important tax, bookkeeping, and accounting skills to help run their small businesses.

The November Franchise Owner’s Meeting was held on Monday, November 17, 2014 from 11 A.M. until 1 P.M. at the Anago of Western PA Regional Support Office (300 Old Pond Road, Suite 202, Pittsburgh, PA 15017). Anago of Western PA was pleased to present special guest speaker James Merante from BookSmarts Tax and Accounting Services.

Mr. Merante discussed how Franchise Owners could maximize their refund by minimizing their taxes. Other topics of discussion included how to track mileage, the benefits of forming an LLC or Corporation, the significance of deductions, changes to tax code for 2014, and proper record keeping for Janitorial Franchises, among others.

“Benjamin Franklin famously said that in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes”, stated Bill Ross, the Vice President of Anago of Western PA. “Today we worked to educate our franchise owners with the information that they need to handle their taxes, and presented them with an opportunity to ask an expert any specific questions that they had and in-turn the group learned from each other.”
